Nose

Rhinoplasty is performed as an outpatient surgical procedure to modify the size or shape of the nose (hence, the surgery is often called a “nose job” in Albuquerque and throughout the country); the procedure may be performed whether the disfigurement or undesirable feature is genetically acquired or from a sustained injury. Undesirable features—such as a dorsal hump, bulbous or malformed nasal tip, wide nasal bridge or a crooked nose—can be corrected with a rhinoplasty.

While many people think of rhinoplasty as a strictly cosmetic surgery, reshaping of the nose may be necessary to also improve breathing function.

Eye

Blepharoplasty is the technical term for what is commonly referred to as eye lift surgery. While blepharoplasty may be used to obtain cosmetic benefits, it may also be a medically necessary procedure to improve your vision.

Drooping eyelids (also called Ptosis) can be responsible for substantial vision impairment. While droopy eyelids can occur in both children and adults, it is usually something that occurs with age.

Face & Neck

Face lifts can improve the appearance of sagging, deep creases, loss of muscle tone, loose skin and excess fatty deposits that develop as we age. Depending on your budget and facial aesthetic goals, there are many types of face lift surgeries to consider: mini face lifts, lower face lifts and mid-face lifts.

During your initial consultation with Dr. Escudero, he will recommend the best procedure to obtain your goals.

Ears

Otoplasty is the technical term for ear surgery. Ear surgery can help improve the shape of your ears, better position your ears (by pinning back the ear or raising or lowering the ear), and make your ear size more proportional to your face. Otoplasty is generally not covered by insurance since it is considered a cosmetic surgery.

When considering an otoplasty procedure, it is important to clearly discuss your goals and expectations with your surgeon. Having clear communication with your surgeon is paramount to a successful surgery. At Dr. Escudero’s office, a picture will be taken of you so that we can clearly show you how your otoplasty may change your appearance.

Brows & Hairline

Fight the signs of aging with a brow lift! A brow lift surgery is an outpatient procedure that minimizes the appearance of age by smoothing the forehead, raising the upper eye brows and reducing the appearance of frown lines that are commonly found between the eye brows.

Brow lifts may be performed in conjunction with other facial plastic surgery procedures, such as face lifts and eye lid surgery. For those interested in a less invasive procedure, BOTOX® may be an option for you.

Chin & Cheeks

If you’ve ever longed for higher cheek bones to enhance the aesthetic appearance of your face, cheek surgery may be an option for you. Cheek implants are a way to establish facial symmetry or increase the size of the cheeks. They provide a subtle change to the appearance of your face and can enhance other notable facial features, such as your eyes.

Implants are usually made of silicone and inserted into the face in an outpatient surgical procedure. Incisions may be made inside the mouth or within the hairline so that scarring is not visible to others. Mid-facial cheek implants may be placed at the same time you have other cosmetic procedures, like a face lift, brow lift, rhinoplasty or chin implant.
